Michael M. Djordjevic is a partner and founding member of Djordjevic, Casey & Marmaros. Jim Casey grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated high school in 1982. Jim went to Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1986. At Bowling Green, Jim met his wife Kim. Jim and Kim have been married for over 20 years and have two children. After getting married, Jim worked during the day and started night law school at Akron in 1989, graduating in 1993. Following graduation, Jim began his legal career representing catastrophic injury victims at the law firm of Gaines & Stern. In his second year as an attorney, Jim obtained his first verdict in excess of $1,000,000. Jim was then recruited to represent physicians and hospitals at the law firm of Reminger and Reminger. Jim spent 4 years at that firm and was able to obtain a tremendous amount of trial experience, trying over 40 cases to verdict. Jim then left Reminger to once again represent catastrophic injury victims at the firm of Elk and Elk. In Jim's 5 years at Elk and Elk, Jim was able to collect over $40,000,000 in compensation for injured victims throughout the state of Ohio. Jim then wanted to start his own firm, and through his contacts, knew that the opportunity existed to bring together his current partners Mike Djordjevic and Pete Marmaros. Since forming DCM at the end of 2005, Jim has continued to represent catastrophically injured people and has had continued success in the court room, obtaining 6 more verdicts in excess of $1,000,000 including one verdict whose components totaled $13,902,000.
Peter W. Marmaros is a partner and founding member of Djordjevic, Casey & Marmaros, LLC. Mr. Marmaros has specialized in catastrophic injury work since graduating from law school in 1982. He previously worked as a trial lawyer at Reminger & Reminger Co., L.P.A., where he specialized in the defense of physicians and hospitals in medical negligence litigation. Mr. Marmaros worked at Reminger as a partner from 1983-1994. After leaving Reminger, he formed his own law firm, where he practiced from 1994-2005. His practice was focused on the representation of injured victims of medical negligence and other accidents. Mr. Marmaros has obtained numerous multimillion verdicts and settlements. He has been a member of Cleveland Marshall Alumni, American Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Mr. Marmaros has been recognized by his peers as a Super Lawyer and has been appointed as Foreman of Grand Jury.
